Informations historiques : Une haggada plus ancienne a été mise en vente chez Kedem en 2017 dont voici l'explicatif : Non-Traditional Haggadah - "Hashomer Hatzair" in Brussels, 1946 "Hagadah Pour Pessach", Passover Haggadah published by the "Adat HaBogrim" (graduates) of "Hashomer Hatzair" in Belgium, Brussels branch. Brussels, 1946. French and Hebrew, with title pages in both languages. Non-traditional Haggadah, stenciled, with illustrations. Most of the Haggadah is in French, with titles and several paragraphs in Hebrew. The Haggadah includes several interesting paragraphs concerning the Holocaust and the desire to move to Eretz Israel. These include a letter to a friend in exile ("Cher chaver du galout), with a reminder of the Warsaw Ghetto ("Remember how three years ago the Warsaw Ghetto went up in flames…the SS attacked us…there were no matzot that year for the Pesach seder, but we did not go like sheep to the slaughter! We felt free…free to die as we chose…"). There are also paragraphs from "the four sons" (one religious, one intellectual, one who has despaired and one Shomer member). In one of them is written: "The one who has despaired; what does he say? All the gates are closed before me? Shall I return to Poland to be killed? No! Eretz Israel is closed before me; the German orders are heavily guarded… what will become of us?". The Haggadah also includes a paragraph entitled "Why the Jews are persecuted" and a paragraph entitled "We were slaves", which concludes, "Zionism is the Avant-garde of the Jewish Nation's battle for freedom." Following the paragraph, "Rabban Gamliel stated," is - "The Shomer states: these are the five things in our lives; Eretz Israel, the shekel, the Jewish National Fund, the tower and the ship". Each of these five is further expanded upon. Included are illustrations of a ship making its way to Eretz Israel, a 1948 shekel, ("Zionist shekel"), a JNF box, and more. A handwritten page is bound with the Hagaddah, containing the song "We sing to you, our homeland", in Hebrew and French. The Haggadah contains notes in the same handwriting, with directions for the Seder (names of the readers, songs). [23] leaves, 27 cm. + [1] handwritten leaf, 21 cm. good condition. Foxing on several pages. Paper strip attached to the spine. Bibliographically unknown. Estimation: $5000 - $7000
